I had just about decided to write this in the third person… You know, the typical “corporate biography” listing information about myself and my company that too often comes across as stiff and pretentious…
And then I realized there were two things wrong with that. First of all, it would be boring.
And secondly… it might draw the wrong kind of clients to me and then I’d have to waste a lot of time and energy convincing them that I’m not the writer for them, and to take their business elsewhere – and worse, it might make YOU decide I wasn’t the right writer for you.
And that would be a shame.

My name is Cheryl Antier and I’m a writer (copywriter, ghostwriter and travel writing are the areas I seem to work in the most).
When it comes to copywriting, one of my specialties is writing for the Web. I work as the ‘in house’ copywriter for several Website designers whose own clients need copy written – in the form of search engine and keyword-optimized Website copy, blog posts, sales pages and social network marketing pages.
I also create special reports, white papers, case studies, annual reports, newsletters and a wide variety of other marketing and sales materials.
As a ghostwriter, I work with motivated authors who are tired of not having the time or worry that they don’t have the writing skills necessary – to finally finish their book. My clients are determined to get it ‘out of their head’ and into a finished manuscript this year, so they can reap the rewards of being a published author – an expert – in their field.
My specialties are in the area of non-fiction, particularly business books and books in the self-help fields. I have a growing client list of doctors who want to be authors, and find them a joy to work with.
In the area of travelwriting, I write for several publications, including examiner.com.
Here are some other strengths and experience I bring to the table:
*Mentoring. I’ve been a business mentor for www.micromentor.org for several years. I mentor women entrepreneurs who are stuck in a particular area of their business and are looking for tools, resources or information to help them blast through the barriers and move forward to create a stronger, more profitable business. I can help in creating systems, sales and marketing, and business planning.
*Corporate Sponsorships. If you’re an author, speaker or coach and you’re looking to sell more books, put more butts in seats, or create a more profitable business, one of the best ways is to sell more of your products or services all at once. (After all it takes about the same amount of effort to sell 5 books as it does to sell 500). I teach small group workshops on how to attract corporate sponsors – and the workshop includes a 5 page proposal template that successfully garnered my clients major corporate sponsorships of $30,000 – or more.
*Finding ‘Creative Business Capital’. We live in exciting times right now. The U.S. government has put together stimulus funding packages that are designed to help build small businesses across the U.S. If you know where to look, and understand the ‘buzz words’ and the process for accessing what you’re looking for, you can find the capital you need to build or expand your business… I’m talking about $10,000 towards the purchase of new computer equipment, office supplies and equipment; or $25,000 to purchase needed equipment – including a truck and trailer. Another client of mine learned how to have the government pay the salary for an assistant for 12 months. And still another client received the money to go back to school and get a needed degree. Other clients have accessed the help they needed to successfully win ’small government contracts’ ($25,000 and less) to get their foot in the door and add government agencies to their client lists. Each of my capital classes ends up being unique, because it’s designed around the unique needs and goals of my clients and the resources provided are only the ones they need.
*Fundraising, In-Kind donations, and special event planning. I have over 10 years experience working as a development director, fundraising consultant. I worked with small non-profit organizations on social justice and women’s issues and raised over 2 million dollars for my clients through special events during a 5 year period.
What Gets Me So Excited About Working With Clients Like You…
I’ve got a real passion for business – and for the entrepreneurs who were brave enough to look at the risks involved in starting their own businesses, and stepped forward anyway. I’ve been fortunate to work with clients from all over the world and something they’ve all had in common is their passion, their enthusiasm and their determination to succeed…
I ran across these statistics the other day… and although these come just from the US, I think they’re representative of what business owners around the world can accomplish with the right mindset, attitude and work ethic… According to the SBA (Small Business Administration), the 27.2 million small businesses in the United States:
- Employ about half of the country’s private sector workforce – and pay 47% of the country’s payroll
- Have generated 60 to 80 percent of net new jobs annually over the last decade.
- Hire 40 percent of high tech workers, such as scientists, engineers and computer workers
- Include 52 percent home-based businesses and two percent franchises
- Represent 97.3 percent of all the exporters of goods
- Represent 99.7 percent of all employer firms
- Generate a majority of the innovations that come from United States companies
- Create more than half of nonfarm private gross domestic product (GDP)
And when you think about it, that’s pretty darn amazing, and I’m that’s what’s exciting about working with clients like you…
